Dolakha DAO vandalized for failing to provide relief materials

DOLAKHA, April 29: The earthquake victims in the district have vandalized the district administration office alleging that it failed to provide relief materials.




Irate victims have vandalized and set fire to the district administration office, accusing that it did not provide relief materials today.

Even four days after the devastating earthquake that claimed over 5000 people across the country, the victims have not received relief materials in Dolakha district.

The Minister for Home Affairs has yet not sent any kinds of relief materials to Dolakha district.


Despite repeated requests, the government has not sent any types of relief materials so far, said Chief District Officer Prem Lal Lamichhane.


CDO Lamichhane informed that he has asked the government to send 40,000 tents and food items to earthquake victims in Dolakha.


Meanwhile, he has also appealed to the victims to stay calm and patient at this time of crisis.
