KATHMANDU, Feb 11: The Department of Commerce, Supplies, and Consumers’ Protection (DoCSCP) has said it would coordinate with the related agencies and take regulatory measures for the effective supply of cooking gas.
The Department is taking such a move after the consumers faced problems relating to cooking gas for some days. Nepal Oil Corporation has been urged to make the supply of daily essentials effective.
Cooking gas not in short supply, says NOC
The Department also directed the gas dealing companies to pay heed to ease the supply. It conducted a monitoring of the gas bottling industries in the Kathmandu Valley and directed the production and supply of the essential as per consumers' needs.
The regulatory body demanded that the concerned dealers, retailers and supply companies of LP gas not to hoard the cooking gas but continue producing and supplying it in full capacity to industries.
Even the consumers are requested not to hoard the cooking gas.
