A report submitted to NSC Member Secretary Hari Babu Chaudhary stated that association president Sunil Rajkarnikar´s irresponsible behavior provides evidence that the current leadership is incapable of guiding the association toward the sport´s development. The committee also held Rajkarnikar accountable for violating the Sports Development Act 2048 and undermining the ethics and norms of sportsmanship. [break]
Rajkarnikar was appointed team manager by NSC but he did not fulfill his duties and rather acted as a jury member.
In a written statement submitted to the committee, Rajkarnikar admitted that he left for Dhaka a day before the rest of the team members to attend a jury meeting of kabaddi chiefs of Nepal, Bangladesh and India. Moreover, Rajkarnikar´s appointment letter as the team manager from NSC doesn´t bear Chaudhary´s signature.
A letter submitted to the committee by coaches, officials and players bearing 132 signatures accused Rajkarnikar of misbehaving and threatening the team members.
Rajkarnikar is accused to have prompted a disgraceful spat after removing the names of coaches Bimal Pokharel and Tara Singh Bhat from the list prior to the kabaddi match in Dhaka on January 31. He, however, defended the move saying that the organizers removed the names as per the international rules and accused Pokharel and Bhat of indulging in his character assassination.
The committee found Rajkarnikar´s reply unsatisfactory. The report recommended the dissolution of the association, stating that a person like Rajkarnikar holding a responsible position should have resolved the issue peacefully but was involved in the fiasco himself.
Chaudhary said he will go through the report and take appropriate action as soon as possible. Lal Kumar Lama was appointed the coordinator of the committee while Min Krishna Maharjan and Samim Miyan Ansari were the members.
