KATHMANDU, Aug 7: Prosecutors have been granted permission by Kathmandu District Court to detain Biplab Man Singh, whose reckless driving took six lives in the capital early Wednesday, for five more days.

Police have been investigating Singh since he surrendered Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, the three others who were in the car at the time of the accident have not yet come into contact with the metropolitan police. "They are supposed to support us in the investigations but have been avoiding any contact with us," an officer said.
