District Education Officer (DEO) Ram Briksha Yadav said the NTU´s protest has affected preparations for sent-up test and normal functioning of the office. NTU alleges that Yadav has distributed relief quotas by taking money. The NTU has also demanded dissolution of the recently formed management committee at Lachamu Secondary School in Jaleshwar.
“We will continue our protest until our demands are met,” NTU Mahottari President Sushil Yadav said. DEO Yadav conceded that some mistakes have been made.
"Most of their demands are genuine and distribution of relief quotas have been already annulled. There is just disagreement over the issue of Lachamu School´s management committee," he added.
