Police have charged paroled killer Edward Corliss, 63, of Roslindale with murder. He will be arraigned Tuesday in West Roxbury District Court.
The widow and her daughter Sanila attended a final mourning rite last night at a church near Sullivan Square in Charlestown, where dozens of Hub Nepalese gathered to honor her husband, the 39-year-old clerk who was working to bring his wife and child to America for a better life when he was killed in the Dec. 26 robbery in Jamaica Plain.
Utsab Gurung, president of the Greater Boston Nepali Community, presented her with a check that will help as she tends to her late husband’s estate and prepares to raise their 9-year-old daughter without him. She said the girl seems to be adjusting well but has yet to come to terms with the fact her father is dead.
“She’s a kid. She’s only 9. She’s not touched by the incident,” Dangol said through the translator.
