KATHMANDU, Dec 24: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday increased marginally by 1.37 points to close at 2,585.87 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,584.49 points and declined to as low as 2,581.18 points before hitting the day’s high at 2,593.58 points within the first 26 minutes. The index gradually slid to reach the day’s low at 2,577.83 points in the next two hours. The market recovered around eight points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Six groups were the gainers as non-life insurance increased by the largest of 93.51 points. Of the seven losers, development banks shed the largest of 45.96 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased 0.94 points. The daily turnover declined further to Rs 3.22 billion from Rs 3.42 billion.
Among the individual companies, 111 were gainers while 142 were recorded as losers. SY Panel Nepal Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 144.93 million.
Infinity Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited by adding 5.32 percent, was recorded as the highest gainer. Grameen Bikas Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the topmost loser of 4.23 percent.
