KATHMANDU, June 18: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday declined marginally by 5.06 points to close at 2,700.47 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,705.53 points, initially dropping 10 points before reaching the day’s high at 2,709.79 points within the first 21 minutes. The index then went to a straight fall to hit the day’s low at 2,693.26 points in the next one and a half hour. The market recovered around seven points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Five groups were the gainers as trading surged by the largest of 10.62 points. Of the eight losers, non-life insurance plunged by the largest of 34.13 points.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, decreased 0.77 points. Daily turnover stood at Rs 3.41 billion, a further decline from Rs 3.63 billion on Wednesday.
Among the individual companies, 76 were the gainers as 182 lost their charms for the investors. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 319.84 million.
Global IME Balanced Fund-1 recorded as the topmost loser of 4.59 percent. Appolo Hydropower Limited witnessed the highest rise of 15 percent in its market value.
