With the launch of the web site, Kalyan Kami, an employee at Bagarkot VDC, no longer needs to travel to the district headquarters to get any kind of information. Like Kami, people living in remote areas of the district such as Jogbudha are getting information right in their villages browsing the internet with the use of CDMA SIM cards.
The web site, www.ddcdadeldhura.gov.np, has been launched to inform people about the goings-on in the district, said Local Development Officer Bishnu Prasad Dhakal.
The web site was designed and launched at the cost of Rs 130,000, of which Rs 80,000 was provided by Care Nepal.
Krishna Dev Joshi, officer at the statistics section of the DDC, said people no longer need to come to the DDC to get information about registration process for births, marriages, relocation and divorces. “They can know everything that happens in the office by visiting the web site,” he said.
The web site also contains pictures of the natural assets of the district, apart from details about budget spending, publications, and plans implemented in the district.
