Speaking at a program in Lahan on Saturday, Koirala accused that Gachchadar after becoming the home minister has failed to establish peace in Madhes rather it has become more unsafe by each passing day. [break]
She also added that the person who took the post in the name of Madhes has no ethical right to remain in the power, if he cannot work for the people of the region.
Underlining the fact that Siraha has been gripped by crime, she stressed that the police administration in the region are corrupted, hence failing to provide the sense of security to the people.
Koirala also urged the government to work towards reducing the crime rate in Siraha which has been terrorized by numerous cases of murder, abduction and extortion from past few months.
She also emphasized that the NC and Madhes has close relation and security and welfare of the people here is of grave concern to her party.
