MYAGDI, July 20: Secretary of newly-formed CPN-Maoist Netra Bikram Chand has ruled out the possibility of the armed conflict as the party´s demands would meet through peaceful protests.

Addressing the party´s first district-level extended meeting in Beni on Thursday, Secretary Chand said that the armed revolution was not necessary in the country if rights of the dalit, women, Janajati and youth were ensured through constitution peacefully.[break]

"There is no need of armed conflict if our demands are included in constitution. But, there is no alternative to opt for popular revolt if people´s rights were not guaranteed," Chand reasoned.

On the occasion, leader Chand also slammed the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Vice-Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai saying that they failed to institutionalize the achievements of the People´s War.

Similarly, leader Chand reiterated that unity with the UCPN (Maoist) was possible but added the UCPN (Maoist) should accept the leadership and political thoughts of the CPN-Maoist.

During the programme, In-charge of party´s Magarat State Committee Santosh Budhamagar, Secretary Baburam Nepali, leader Hasta Bahadur KC and others expressed their opinions on party policy and political ideology.
