The inauguration of the convention is to take place at 1:00 pm at the open theatre, Tundikhel. The closed session of the convention is scheduled to kick off at Nepal Academy from Thursday. [break]
According to party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal, around 2,000 people including 800 representatives, 800 observers and 500 volunteers are participating in the convention.
Representatives from13 state committees across the country, migrant state committees (India), international state committees (Europe) and representatives from five special state committees are taking part in the convention.
Communist leaders from the Philipinnes, Democratic Republic of Korea and Canada are taking part in the closed session, said party politburo member Hitman Shakya.
The convention is scheduled to hold discussions about the political report to be presented by party Chairman Mohan Baidya and legislative report to be presented by Secretary Dev Gurung, it is learnt .
