Colors X109 in market

KATHMANDU : Colors Mobile has launched X109 under its X series of mobile phones in the Nepali market. According to a statement issued Thursday, the new model is a feature-rich phone and comes at a ‘reasonable price’ range.



The features of the newly launched phone include 3.5 inch HVGA capacitive multi-touch screen, 1.3 MP camera, inbuilt audio/video player, Bluetooth, analog TV, FM radio, Facebook, Opera internet browser and comes with 1000 mAh battery. [break]



The phone has a curved back and edges supports GPRS connection and has a Wi-Fi support system. The company has provided a one-year warranty with the handset and a six-month warranty on the battery and charger.



New Ncell center in Rajbiraj



KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Ncell on Thursday inaugurated a new centre in Neta Chowk, Rajbiraj, targeting local subscribers there. Ncell´s legal and government liaison director Kamal Khanal and customer relations director Soma Thapa jointly inaugurated the company´s official service outlet amid a function on the day.



 “The center will enable people of Rajbiraj and its surrounding areas to easily avail information and subscribe to our various services locally,” said Sanju Koirala, the corporate communications director of Ncell.



According to the company´s statement, Ncell subscribers can conveniently avail of services such as SIM exchange, GPRS, MMS, international roaming, call details, balance transfer, bill payments, corporate services, blackberry service, and change of ownership, among others from the center. Similarly, the company said that it will provide free activation of post paid SIM for subscribers buying SIM from the center during the first week of the inauguration.





Thai juice Mali launched in Nepal



KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): Taxari group of Nepal has launched Mali fruit juice -- a product under the Mali brand of Thailand -- in the Nepali market. The newly launched juice has a tagline of “Fruit with Care” and is are available in more than 10 flavors including orange, apple, pineapple, carrot, tomato, mix fruit and mix vegetable, among others, Taxari Group said in a statement on Thursday. The company said the new product is healthier and comes with peculiar taste.





RBB to start social banking services



KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): A seminar conducted among branch managers of Rastra Banijya Bank (RBB) to brief on the goals achieved by the bank in the previous fiscal year and come up with a working plan for the new fiscal year has decided to involve itself in social banking in the days ahead.



Krishna Parsad Sharma, the chief executive officer of RBB, said at a function in the capital that the branch managers now have to intensify both quantitative and qualitative services to its customers. Moreover, Sharma said that RBB in the near future will come up with a number of financial literacy programs targeting lower and middle class people in Nepali society. The discussion was participated by 36 branch managers of RBB.
