Civil servants shut offices for third day

SIRAHA, Sept 19: Civil servant shut down all government offices in the district for the third day on Sunday demanding that a case of public offence filed against their colleague be revoked.



The civil servants announced the indefinite strike to protest the case filed against Pheku Yadav, a technical assistant of Sitapur VDC.



Police have already released Yadav on ordinary date.



He was arrested for leading a group of locals that attacked police in Sitapur to protest alleged manhandling of VDC secretary Bil Narayan Chaudhari by the then sub-inspector.
