The delegation held official talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Upendra Yadav on Tuesday. They also held separate talks with Maoist leaders led by UPCN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Nepali Congress leaders led by NC President Sushil Koirala.
"They said the Chinese government wants to see completion of the tasks of constitution writing and peace process in Nepal," NC leader Arjun Narsingh KC, who participated in the talks, told Republica.
Zhou led a delegation comprising senior leaders, ministers and high-ranking officials of the People´s Republic of China, said a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two sides are set to sign Economic and Technical Cooperation agreement on Wednesday, under which China would provide concessional loans of over Rs 1.75 billion (Yuan 154 million) to Nepal for the construction of transmission line of Upper Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project, officials at the Ministry of Finance said.
A framework agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation worth Rs 7 billion on power generation from the project was signed between the two countries in February.
The 60-MW project located in Rasuwa and Nuwakot districts has a gestation period of four years.
