China´s comments come at a time when the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoists) has enforced an indefinite strike starting from Sunday.
This is the first comment on political situation in Nepal by any foreign government since the start of the indefinite strike.
Jiang called on the parties to properly handle differences, promote the hard-won peace process and realize political stability and economic development at the earliest.
