Sipradi had introduced Tata Nano in the Nepali market in the last week of June. It had opened booking for the standard variant at Rs 798,000, CX variant at Rs 998,000 and LX variant at Rs 1.17 million.[break]
Now, the standard variant will cost Rs 858,000, while the CX and LX variants will cost Rs 1.02 million and Rs 1.18 million respectively.
“The new price came into effect from last Wednesday. We are not aware of the reasons behind rise in prices,” an official of Sipradi Trading, preferring anonymity, told Republica.
Sipradi had taken booking for Nano for 10 days from June 26. It had received booking for 352 units. It had delivered the vehicles to first 100 customers on July 30. The company raised price of the vehicle after it delivered all the booked vehicles.

Sipradi is currently selling Nano from 14 distribution points across the country. It provides warrant of four years or 90,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Nano gives mileage of 23.6 km per liter and has ground clearance of 180 mm. While Nano is available in colors like Racing Red Ivory White and Summer Blue, Nano CX is available in colors like Racing Red, Ivory White, Summer Blue, Champagne Gold and Lunar Silver. Similarly, Nano LX is available in colors like Sunshine Yellow, Champagne Gold and Lunar Silver.
Nano, the basic model, has features like digital fuel gauge, front room lamp, integrated front seat headrest, sun-visor in driver and co-driver, driver seat with slider and recliner, front assist grips, fuel indicator lamps, temperature buzzer, and rear seat belts. Similarly, Nano CX has all the features of Nano and additional features like cooling system, integrated rear seat head rest, co-driver seat with slider and recliner, rear assist grip and booster assisted brakes.

Nano LX has other additional features like body colored bumpers and door handles, front fog lamps, rear fog lamps, instrument cluster with trip meter, power windows, cup holder and central lock with key.
