Chargesheet filed against Parshuram, two others

BIRATNAGAR, June 30: The office of the district attorney, Morang on Thursday filed a charge-sheet against Youth Force Morang in-charge Parshuram Basnet and two of his accomplices at the district court in connection with the murderous attack on Republica correspondent Khilanath Dhakal.



Parshuram has been accused of masterminding the attack, while the two others -- Youth Force Biratnagar chief Rohit Koirala and member Manoj Rai -- of executing the murderous plan.[break]



Rohit and Manoj were present at the Morang District court when the charge sheet (registration no 1720) was filed but Parshuram is still at large. However, the court could not record the statements of the accused due to lack of time. The initial hearing in the case will begin on Friday, according to registrar at the district court Bhisma Raj Prasai.



The court will issue arrest warrant against fugitive Parshuram after the initial hearing on the case.



Dhakal was attacked on June 5 for reporting the attack on jailbird Abhishek Giri inside the district court premises by Parshuram´s gang on June 1.
