KATHMANDU, Oct 29: A meeting of the Constitutional Committee (CC) of the Constituent Assembly (CA) scheduled for Thursday was put off as most of the members were absent. As per the provision, the committee should have the presence of at least 25 percent of the total members to hold a meeting.

There are 63 members, most of them senior political party leaders, in the CC.

Besides preparing concept paper and preliminary draft of the new constitution, the committee is supposed to collect and fine-tune reports received from all the 10 committees of the CA.
