Carlsberg offers fan challenge on Facebook

KATHMANDU, Feb 29: Carlsberg, one of the longest standing sponsors of UEFA EURO 2012 has introduced Carlsberg Fan Challenge on social networking site Facebook.



With 100 days remaining for the European Football Championship, Carlsberg is launching a mobile application in partnership with the publisher of the leading European football app, Motain, that will offer exclusive football content, a bar finder and an opportunity to vote live for the Carlsberg Man of the Match Award for all UEFA EURO 2012 matches. [break]This app can be downloaded from iTunes and Android stores.



Greece, Russia, Chez Republic and host Poland are placed in group A in the prestigious tournament, while Netherland, Denmark, Germany and Portugal are in group B. Similarly group C consists of Italy, Ireland, Croatia and the defending champion Spain. Sweden, France and England will fight with another host Ukraine in group D.



Carlsberg Group has already appointed Peter Schmeichel, legendary former Denmark international and Manchester United goalkeeper as its global ambassador.



Schmeichel is actively involved in many aspects of the Group´s activation programme including as a judge to the Carlsberg Fan Challenge.
