KATHMANDU, Nov 22: Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) on Sunday burnt a copy of the concept paper submitted by CA committee on fundamental rights and directive principles.

A group of indigenous rights activists associated with different member organizations of NEFIN gathered in front of the CA building and burnt the paper, claiming that its content, as they say, denies them their exclusive rights on natural resources.

NEFIN says the concept paper is not in tune with ILO Convention 169, which ensures rights of indigenous communities to local resources.
