Butwal-Narayanghat road blocked due to slippery section at Daunne

KATHMANDU, March 9: The Butwal–Narayanghat road section has been blocked. Heavy rainfall has made a damaged part of the road at Daunne, Triveni Rural Municipality-2 slippery, causing traffic disruption.



Deputy Superintendent of Police Yubaraj Khadka from the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) said that vehicles have been facing difficulties since morning due to the slippery road surface.

“After around 10 am, the road became slippery, making it difficult for vehicles to pass,” he said. “About 100 to 150 vehicles are currently lined up in both directions at the affected section.”


Police and road authorities are attempting to clear the road, but continuous drizzle is making immediate reopening challenging.
