Police said Binod Kumar Agrawal, 50, was murdered with sharp weapons while he was asleep in his house near Maisthan. The murderers broke the chain-gate to enter the building and hit him on his head. Agrawal operated a clothing store.
Police are still in the dark about the motive behind the murder.
Agrawal´s body is being kept at Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital in Birgunj.
The murder took place when extortion terror has struck businessmen in Birgunj.
