Nissan´s exclusive showroom in Butwal
KATHMANDU: Drive Line Automobile has opened an exclusive showroom of Nissan in Butwal. Issuing a press statement, Dugar Brother & Sons -- the authorized distributor of Nissan in Nepal, said the new showroom will be selling all types of vehicles manufactured by Nissan in Japan, Thailand and India.
The showroom will be providing sales, service and spares facilities. The company also plans to open an authorized service center of Nissan in Butwal in the near future. "On the occasion of the opening of the showroom, we will be providing Nissan Sunny at an introductory price of Rs 3.75 million," Sambhu Subedi, senior manager of Dugar Brother & Sons, said in the statement.
Siddhartha launches branchless banking service
KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank has launched branchless banking service in Chaumala Bazaar of Kailali district. The service was launched amidst a program attended by Dr Khem Raj Bhetwal, manager of Nepal Rastra Bank Dhangadi branch, and Tej Raj Timilsina, Dhangadi branch chief of Siddhartha Bank. The bank is planning to introduce the service, which allows customers to deposit and withdraw money using a swipe machine, in other far-western parts of the country, says a bank statement. The service also allows customers to receive remittance sent from India and other countries, adds the statement.
NIC Bank holds blood donation camp
KATHMANDU: NIC Bank, in coordination with the institution´s charity wing, NIC Foundation, held a blood donation program at the bank´s Birtamod branch. The event, expected to help ease the acute shortage of blood in Birtamod, was organized in support of Nepal Red Cross Society, says a bank statement. Around 100 people, including general public, bank staff, army personnel, social activists, bank customers and their family members donated blood on the occasion.
IME holds free health camp
KATHMANDU: International Money Express (IME), in association with its agent Bhairab Money Transfer, organized a daylong free health camp at Khanigaun of Nuwakot district. The camp benefited over 300 locals of Khanigaun and other adjacent villages where general health check-ups were conducted, and medicines and first aid kits were distributed for free, says an IME statement. The health camp was held in participation of two doctors and 12 nurses from Binayak Hospital and Trishuli Medical College, adds the statement. The event was a part of IME´s social initiative based on four pillars of health and safety, community giving, environment, and education.
Himalayan, Bhat-Bhateni launches debit card
KATHMANDU: Himalayan Bank and Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket have jointly launched a debit card which can also be used as ´club card´ of Bhat-Bhateni Supermarket, according to a press statement. The card dubbed ´HBL BBSM Co-Brand VISA Debit Card´ can be used in automated teller machines (ATMs) and swipe machines (POS), the statement says. "The card can also be used to redeem points earned through purchase of goods at the supermarket," the statement adds.
