Issuing a statement Monday, Network Solutions, Micromax´s partner for sales and marketing in Nepal, said the company is the third largest selling in India and sells around 700,000 handsets a month. [break]
Network Solutions will be selling Micromax mobile phones like Gravity, EzPad Q3, X2i and 3G Data Card plus a whole other range of phones, which blend lifestyle and technology, it said.
According to the statement, Micromax is the first to introduce handsets with 30 days battery backup, dual SIM/dual Standby, networks switching (GSM-CDMA) using gravity sensors, Aspirational Qwerty Keypad, Operator Branded 3G and OMH CDMA among others.
“Innovation, Cost-Effective, credible and insightful R&D, have now become synonymous to Micromax in the telecom vertical,” the company said.
Bishwa Bikash Bank opens seventh branch
POKHARA, Jan 11: Bishwa Bikash Bank has succeeded in opening its seventh branch within two years of operation. The branch is Butwal was inaugurated by Jagan Bahadur Gurung, chairman of the bank, on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Gurung said that the bank is looking forward to extend its services and prove itself effective through competitive banking services. “The main objective of the bank is to accumulate inactive capital and circulate it to the investors and thus utilize it for different development activities,” Gurung said.
The bank has been providing effecitve services to its clients though 365 days banking service and ATM service among others. The bank has branches in Kaski, Tanahun, Makawanpur, Syangja, Parvat, Chitwan, Bara, Parsa, Nawalparasi and Rupandehi district.
The bank is also planning to issue primary shares worth Rs 93.6 million.
Nepal SBI bank to issue 10:4 bonus shares
KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Nepal SBI Bank earned an operating profit of Rs 442.3 million in fiscal year 2008/09, 25.2 percent more than what it earned in 2007/08. This was informed in the 16th annual general meeting of the bank held on Monday.
The bank also decided to provide 10:4 bonus shares and provide 2.11 percent cash dividend.
The bank has 33 branches and six extension counters in 21 districts across the country. It has a network of 35 ATMs.
Capital Merchant gets nod for rights issue
KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Capital Merchant Banking and Finance has received permission from Securities Board Nepal (SEBON) for 1:1.5 rights issue.
Going by this permission, the finance company will issue 5,610,417 rights shares among its shareholders, raising its paid-up capital to Rs 935.06 million, the company said issuing a press statement on Monday.
Capital Merchant Banking and Finance is presently operating with four branches. It has also been providing ATM service and any-branch-banking-facility (ABBS) to its clients.
