BUSINESS BRIEFS: John Players's Dashain-Tihar offer

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: John Players -- the men´s wear range from Surya Nepal -- has launched Dashain Tihar festive campaign for its customers. According to a press statement, customers get a scratch card on every purchase worth Rs 1,000 and above through which they can win guaranteed prizes.



The prizes include three Samsung Galaxy S III phones, 10 Tissot watches, 20 John Players gift hampers, free John Players t-shirts and attractive cash discounts. The offer is valid till November 16.[break]



Nepal SBI Bank to extend 5% cash dividend



KATHMANDU: The 19th annual general meeting of Nepal SBI Bank held on Friday has decided to extend five percent of the paid-up capital as cash dividend and 12.5 percent bonus shares to its shareholders.



According to a bank statement, the dividends would be distributed to shareholders from October 17 from the bank´s head office in Hattisar. The bank earned an operating profit of Rs 751.65 million and net profit of Rs 480.10 million last fiscal year.
