KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Call Mobility Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of G´Five mobile phones in Nepal, has brought yet another G´Five handset that not only helps users remain connected but also keeps updated everywhere they go. Q6i of G´Five powered by TV with a 2.2 inch TFT screen.



Issuing a press statement, the company said users can also enjoy double HD camera for both video recording and still photography through this handset. The phone is a slider handset with a QWERTY keypad, Facebook, Yahoo and e-Buddy applications. [break]



"With this phone, G´Five has proved that it is a company for the users and it continuously seeks to bring models which are user-defined,” the statement added.





Tiggo Exchange Camp



KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Bama Motors, the authorized distributor of Chery cars, is organizing an exchange camp for Chery Tiggo, the Chinese SUV. Under this program, the car of any company can be exchanged with Chery Tiggo, Bama Motors said in a statement.



“Any one exchanging their cars with Chery Tiggo will get a six-day free trip for two to Thailand,” the statement added. The exchange camp will run from August 9 to 16 in Bama Motors´ showroom at Thapathali.



Apart from the free trip, Bama Motors is also offering other facilities like on-spot finance, free valuation of old cars, one year tax and insurance by the company and free car accessories.





Gurans Insurance holds AGM



KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Gurans Life Insurance Company conducted its second annul general meeting (AGM) on Sunday in the presence of Motilal Dugar, the chairman of the company.



The company, which operates with a network of 24 branches, collected Rs 66 million as premium from 11,645 policies in 2009/10.



Addressing the assembly, Dugar informed that the company will expand its services as per the need of people in the coming days.





Sanima Bank´s medical camp



KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Sanima Development Bank conducted eye donation, blood donation and dental check up camp on Saturday.



The camp was organized near the bank´s head office at Nag Pokhari. High level officials of the bank, employees and the general public participated in the program.



Along with the Kumar Lamsal, CEO of the bank, 50 other people expressed willingness to donate their cornea. Similarly, 70 people donated their blood and 107 people participated in the dental check up program, the bank said in a statement.





Free servicing camp for Tata vehicles



KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Narayani Auto Business Pvt Ltd, the authorized dealer of Sipradi Trading in Kathmandu, conducted free check up camp for Tata vehicles on Thursday and Friday. About 40 vehicles received free servicing in the camp, Narayani Auto said in a press statement.



Narayani Auto Business provided 12 percent discount on spare parts and up to 18 percent off in lubricants in the camp. The company also conducted a medical check up for all its engineers and mechanics. Narayani Auto plans to conduct such camps ever three months.





CEDBL´s tree plantation program



KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Clean Energy Development Bank Limited (CEDBL) conducted a special program at Jal Binayak in Kirtipur where the participants dedicated a tree to their family and loved ones by making a contribution of Rs 1,000 each.



“The amount will be deposited in the Clean Circle Trust for the preservation and upkeep of the plant for the next ten years under CEDBL´s commitment, in addition to assisting in other activities for the environmental sustenance of the nation,” the bank said in a statement.



The program was organized in partnership with Jal Binayak Community Forest Users´ Group and Budhathoki Nursery in collaboration with Thompson Nepal as creative partner. “This event is a green-partnership with our citizens in planting and dedicating trees to oneself or their loved ones to reduce their carbon footprints,” the statement added.





EBL´s net profit up 30.23 percent



KATHMANDU, Aug 8: Everest Bank Limited (EBL) has decided to provide 30 percent bonus share and 30 percent cash dividend to its shareholders subject to approval of the Nepal Rastra Bank.



Issuing a press statement, the bank said its net profit increased by 30.23 percentage and its operating profit rose by 26.56 percent in the previous fiscal year. The bank managed to reduce its non-performing asset to 0.16 percent from 0.48 percent.



The bank opened five branches in 2009/10 and has plans to further expand its branch network in the near future, the statement added.
