BUSINESS BRIEFS: German assistance

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Federal Republic of Germany has provided an additional assistance of around Rs 54 million through the Protracted Relief and Recovery Operation Nepal (PRRO) to the World Food Program-Nepal. The PRRO is supplying 84,916 ton food items worth $111 million to food-deficit areas in rural Nepal. [break]



Issuing a statement on Monday, German Embassy in Kathmandu said the support would be used for Food-For-Assets or Cash-For-Work-activities. The assistance is expected to help families meet their immediate food needs and enable them develop assets like roads and irrigation systems.





CG Inverters announces new scheme



KATHMANDU, Dec 21: CG Electronics has recently launched CG Inverters in the markets, in response to the deepening power crisis in the country.



A press statement receive on Monday, the electronic giant has also announced an aggressive marketing scheme as per which every purchaser will get a free CG Iron with the purchase of every CG Inverter and a free CG Rice cooker with the purchase of CG Inverter and Luminous Battery.



The statement further claimed that the supreme quality batteries and inverters will enable it to supply electricity without any obstruction.



Designed with modern technology and automatic sensors, CG inverter has also various properties such as continuous voltage, micro control, etc that makes every CG inverter easier to operate for the users, said the statement.
