BUSINESS BRIEFS: Dish Home to broadcast IPL matches in HD

KATHMANDU, April 5: Dish Home has joined hands with India´s Sony SIX channel to broadcast Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in HD format in Nepal. “This is the first time that Nepali television viewers will be enjoying any sport event in high definition which the company hopes will bring cheers to the sports enthusiasts," Dish Home said in a press release issued on Friday. “The company will not charge any subscription fee for this HD service."



Dish Home has also disclosed that it plans to bring FIFA World Cup 2014 in HD format for Nepali viewers. Dish Home has customer base of over 200,000, the release added.[break]



New team in IAEAN



KATHMANDU: The seventh annual general meeting of International Air Express Association of Nepal (IAEAN) has unanimously elected a new executive committee with Rabindra Man Singh as the president. Sitaram Pant, Mahendra Man Shrestha, Gagan Mukhiya, Ashok Chandra Pokhrel are immediate past president, vice president, general secretary and treasurer, respectively.



Similarly, Achutam Shrestha and Mithilesh Jha are the members in the executive committee. The AGM demanded that the government bring full-fledged budget at the earliest so as to give a boost to economic activities in the country, the association said in a statement.
