Santosh Karki of Dolakha died on his way to the Kathmandu Medical College Teaching Hospital. Three others – Shova Karki, Rameshwar Shrestha and Pasang Lama - are receiving treatment at the hospital. The later two were taken to the hospital after they were arrested in Bhaktapur while fleeing the scene. [break]
Karki, 26, was shot at and has injuries on right hand.
According to police, when the locals asked Phurba Lama and Talsingh Lama to remove construction materials from the road, he called on two goons who fired shots at locals.
Sub-inspector Chhabi Lamichhane, the chief of Koteshwar, said that two were arrested in connection with the incident.
