Civil Bank launches gold loan scheme
KATHMANDU: Civil Bank has launched gold loan scheme under which borrowers can use gold and silver or jewelries of gold and silver as security to secure credit, states a bank statement. Under the scheme, the bank provides up to 80 percent of the value of the precious metals in loans. This scheme is currently available at the New Road branch of the bank.
Prabhu, Siddhartha Bank ink pact
KATHMANDU: Prabhu Money Transfer, a remittance company, and Siddhartha Bank have entered into agreement under which money remitted into the country via Prabhu´s network can be received through 41 branches of the bank. Sundar Prasad Kandel, chief operating officer of the bank, and Rameshwor Sapkota, deputy general manager of Prabhu Money Transfer, signed an agreement in this regard on Tuesday, according to a statement issued by Prabhu Money Transfer. Prabhu remits money into the country from Malaysia, the US, India and Gulf countries.
