Big 3 discussing MPRF-D’s demands

KATHMANDU, Sept 16: A meeting of top-notch leaders of major three parties underway in Constituent Assembly (CA) hall in New Baneshwor on Wednesday afternoon is discussing demands of Madheshi People’s Rights Forum (Democratic).

The Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar-led MPRF-D plans to rejoin constitution writing process if its demands are addressed.


Four-point demands put forth by the MPRF-D are accepting area with majority of Tharu community as a province, ensuring provision of proportional representation in the new constitution as per the Interim Constitution, fixing election constituencies on the basis of population and recognizing local  language as official langue in local level.

Source said Gachchhadar will also be joining the meet in a short while, adding parties are preparing to ink deal today after forging agreement.
