Bhimdutta municipality recommended for Sub-metropolis

KANCHANPUR, Aug 23: The oldest municipality of Kanchanpur-Bhimdutta municipality has been recommended to be promoted to a Sub-metropolis.The District Development Committee, Kanchanpur made the recommendation to the Ministry of Local Development. A decision to this end was taken by the town area determination committee, according to Local Development Officer Mohan Poudel.

The recommendation has been made in accordance with Local Self-governance Act, 2055 B.S.

There are five municipalities and nine VDCs in Kanchanpur with a total population of 480,000. RSS
