Every year Bal Utsav ambassadors in music, dance, vocals and arts are felicitated and given the responsibility to hold the program for the following year. This trend is being followed since the first edition of the talent exposé. [break]
For children of age group 8 to 13, the program includes grooming sessions on one of talent categories (music, dance, vocals, arts) by experienced facilitators and an all round training in excellence called Art Excel/AE Course starting January 5. There are also sessions for students of class 3, 4 and 5 titled ‘Spellsmart’ which is an international course recognized by the Core Knowledge Foundation in Virginia and features competitive spelling games, phonetics and regular spell checks.
Similarly, a course on an integrated form of Vedic Mathematics called ‘Mathemagic’ will be provided for students of class 6 and 7. The course will focus on fast and easy calculations, stress less techniques, math tricks and Sudoku.
Apart from that, there are simple language sessions of Newari and Spanish; art and craft classes and classes on social activities like plantation, awareness campaigns titled ‘Sewa’.
The program for teenagers of age group 14 to 18 begins on January 9 and includes YES! Program, a youth empowerment seminar, Mathemagic, Photography, a one-day adventure camp that will focus on community service and life skills; sessions on productive use of New Media and social media tools and series of interaction.
