KATHMANDU, July 10: Mohan Baidya led 33-party alliance on Friday has drawn the attention of the government of China over the controversy on Lipu Lekh pass and demanded that the issue be resolved diplomatically.

The alliance has handed over a memorandum to the Embassy of China demanding that the serious initiatives be taken to correct the India-China's bilateral agreement so that Nepal's trade can be expanded via Lipu-Lekh pass.

The memorandm states that the two countries unilaterally decided to expand border trade through the Lipu-Lekh Pass without the consent of the Nepali government even as the area belongs to Nepal.
