Baidya faction forms separate taskforce

KATHMANDU, March 31: Countering the party establishment´s latest moves to expand organizational base, the radical faction of the UCPN (Maoist) on Saturday formed a three-member taskforce to mobilize party cadres and the people for “pro-people” constitution and dignified PLA integration.



The taskforce headed by Maoist central committee (CC) member Pampha Bhusal will coordinate protest programs for the party´s cause. Maoist CC members Suresh Ale Magar and Maheshwar Dahal are other members of the taskforce. [break]



“We formed the taskforce to coordinate people´s movement and talk to various forces to participate in the movement,” said Dahal, a member of the taskforce.



A similar taskforce led by Krishna Bahadur Mahara was formed by the party establishment recently.



According to Dahal, the taskforce will also talk to the Mahara-led taskforce for party unity.



The Baidya faction had already announced struggle programs for “pro-people constitution” and dignified PLA integration.
