KATHMANDU, Dec 3: Australian Ambassador to Nepal Susan Grace on Thursday handed over checks worth 170,000 Australian dollars to 17 projects under the Australian Embassy´s Direct Aid Program (DAP). Grace gave away the checks amidst a program at her residence on the embassy premises at Maharajgunj.
The projects receiving aid cover health, education, income generation, sanitation and support to physically challenged people.
Australia is providing AUD15.8 million in development assistance to Nepal in 2009-2010.
