Local residents have said a team of patrolling APF personnel intercepted 55-year-old Mojahir Ansari, who was on his way to irrigate his field, and thrashed him severely suspecting him as a criminal. He succumbed to his injury later, they said.
Following the incident, enraged locals have demanded action against the guilty and appropriate compensation for the victim´s family.
The District Police Office, Parsa, has initiated an investigation into the incident.
