Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Reporters´ Club at his residence Laximpat on Tuesday, he said the as the front was for consensus, it was no point in panicking over this.[break]
Formation of a bigger power is the need of hour to create pressure for the constitution with federalism and federalism with identity, he said, adding that the front was essential also to protect the achievements of the people´s war and people´s movement.
However, he admitted that single effort of his party failed to forge consensus so alliance with others was essential.
Moreover, Chairman Dahal said, "If Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala wanted to become prime ministers, he needs to forge consensus. So, it is not good to crave for the post who fails to forge consensus."
He accused the NC of foiling consensus efforts.
But, if the NC commits to the way out to political crisis, NC could lead the next government, said Dahal.
Chairman Dahal was of the view that it was NC and CPN-UML´s turn to make sacrifice to solve national problems.
He made it clear that he was not for prolonging Bhattarai government and the party too was of the same view, but ouster of leader Bhattarai without consensus would invite bigger crisis.
Once the NC and UML became ready to ensure identity-based federalism, the revival of the constituent assembly was within an hour.
If the parties don´t accept this, election would be the best option. He wondered why the democratic parties fear elections.
He urged all parties to forge consensus as sole efforts of the Maoists was inadequate for this.
