All party meeting to pick name for Prez ends inconclusively

Kathmandu, Oct 25: The all-party meeting held at the Parliament House in New Baneshwor in the Capital on Sunday to strike consensus to pick the name for the post of President, ended inconclusively, with both CPN-UML and Nepali Congress sticking to their stances to field contenders from both the parties for the same post.

Earlier, both the parties had agreed to select the name for the post through consensus.As a result, as the timeframe to elect person for the post set by the Parliament-Secretariat has finished today, the process to pick the name for the post would be done through elections which is set on October 28.
