Agreement to invest in Ktm-Hetauda tunnel highway

KATHMANDU, Jan. 17: An agreement has been reached between Nepal Infrastructure Development Company and Non-resident Nepalis Association (NRN) to invest on the Kathmandu-Hetauda tunnel highway.



An agreement to his end was signed here on Thursday by NRN President Jiba Lamichhane and Chief of the Company Kush Kumar Joshi.



On the occasion, NRN President Lamichhane appealed to NRN members to invest in the project, and announced a personal investment of Rs. one million.



Company Chief Joshi said that the construction work would begin within his month and urged domestic and foreign investors to invest in this project of national pride.



The 50-kilometer tunnel highway linking the capital to Hetauda is expected to cost around Rs. 20 billion.
