Agitating Adhikari couple in ICU

KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Nanda Prasad Adhikari and Ganga Maya Adhikari, who have been staging hunger strike demanding action against those involve in murder of their youngest son, Krishna Prasad Adhikari, have been taken to Intensive Care Unit (ICU) since a week.



Chief of the Emergency Service Department of Bir Hospital, Nhuchchheman Dongol, said that the Adhikari couple has been taken to ICU one week ago after their health condition was being deteriorated.[break]



They have been staging fast-unto-death at Bir Hospital since August 12.



President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, and Chairman of the CPN (UML), Jhalanath Khanal, reached Bir Hospital today to acquire information about Adhikari couple´s health condition.



Urging them to end the hunger strike, leader duo said that they would take special initiative to give justice to the Adhikari couple.



However, they reiterated that they would not end the hunger strike until the state gives them justice.
