According to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), Interpol informed the bureau about the arrest and procedures for the handover of Sajaya to the Nepal Police. "We have initiated the process to bring him back to Nepal," said CIB Director DIG Hemanta Malla. Saudi Arabia cannot hand over the accused directly to Nepal as the two countries have not signed extradition treaty.
CIB had confirmed that Magar had left the country for Saudi Arabia on December 5 based on the statement by other accused, four days before they were arrested on the charge of Bam's murder. Interpol Nepal had issued a diffusion notice against Magar on Jan 6.
Magar, originally from Ramechap district, had reached Saudi Arabia via Company-Future Link International Pvt Ltd-a Ratopul-based manpower company. He had been working as a truck driver for a construction company, according to CIB.
