9 Nepali pilgrims reported killed in India

NEPALGUNJ, Oct 7: Nine Nepali pilgrims have died in a road accident in Patna in the Indian state of Bihar on Tuesday night.

Nara Bahadur Mahatara, one of the pilgrims from Gaughat in Sitapur VDC of Banke informed that nine Nepalis were killed in the road accident and some of injured have been taken to Haramniya, Bihar hospital and some in Benaras hospital.According to Mahatara, one of the deceased pilgrim is 60-year-old Bhadra Bahadur Oli, of Sitapur VDC-5 of Banke.

According to him, the death toll might increase as most of the injured have received serious injuries. He informed that there were about 50 passengers in the bus. All of the travelers are said to be from Banke district.

The pilgrims were returning home after 12 days of pilgrimage in India.
