5-feet snow piles up at Simkot airport

HUMLA, Jan. 21: Flights to and from Simkot Airport in Humla district has come to a grinding halt after the airport was covered with snow as high as 5 feet for the last few days.



Hundreds of passengers have been left high and dry following the snow fall leading to accumulation of snow at the airport.



Chief District Officer Bijay Narayan Manandhar said that army personnel, police and officials are working to clear off the snow from the airport.
