Maoist PLA brigade commander at seventh division in Kailali, Ram Krishna Chaudhary, is among those joining Thaur´s group.
Among the defectors are 69 from Kailali, 56 from Dang, 26 from Rupandehi, 13 from Bardiya and 12 from Banke. Among them are company commander, battalion commander, section commander, platoon commander and YCL members. Among those defecting are 44 PLA combatants.
SRLM Chairman Laxman Tharu welcomed the new entrants to the party amidst a function in Nepalgunj on Thursday.
Speaking at the function, Tharu said that he had quit the Maoist party as the Maoists were taking the nation nowhere. He argued that the Maoists saw the power as their supreme goal.
Maoist Ramechhap district Committee member Ashish Tamang, who defected to Tharu´s group, argued that he had joined the Maoist party with big dreams but he is disappointed now.
Tharu came down heavily on Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and said he has shown disrespect to the martyrs by bargaining for power.
