KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Police have confiscated five kilogram of illegal gold and arrested one person involved in the smuggling. Security personnel arrested 18 year old Som Bahadur Tamang during a security check at Tin Piple of Balaju.
The gold had made its way into Nepal via Kerung border of Rasuwagadi. The Metropolitan Police Range has initiated an investigation n into the case. With one of the biggest festivals just around the corner, police have beefed up security and check-ins in the Kathmandu valley.
