KATHMANDU, Dec 31: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday rose 10.87 points to close at 2,633.76 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,622.88 points, initially escalated 16 points followed by a decline of nine points in 37 minutes of trading. In the next one and a half hours, the index reached the day’s high at 2,643.64 points in the midway of the total trading time. The market, however, experienced a gradual decline to hit the day’s low at 2,627.94 points in the last five minutes. The market recovered around six points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

All the 13 groups were recorded as gainers. Manufacturing and processing by adding 136.36 points was listed as the largest gainer.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 1.42 points. The daily turnover inclined to Rs 5.13 billion from Rs 4.77 billion.
Among the individual companies, 163 were gainers while 89 were recorded as losers. Green Ventures Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 177.90 million.
Two companies including SY Panel Nepal Limited and Nyadi Hydropower Limited had their market values escalated by the highest of 10 percent. Similarly, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the topmost loser of 10 percent.
