At a press meet in the capital today, party Chairman Mohan Baidhya argued the 16-point agreement was against the interests of the nation and the meanest example of deception to the people.
The agreement came out when the country should have focused on post-disaster management in view of the damages caused by the earthquake. This was an insult to people's sentiments and aspirations, the party said in a press note made available at the programme organised to unveil the decisions of party standing committee meeting.Reiterating the party voice for drafting the constitution through an all-party conference, leader Baidya insisted on gearing up for a new people's revolution to what he claimed to protect national sovereignty, establish people's rule and ensure their rights.
The party has accused its mother party- UCPN (Maoist)- of deceiving the people and demonstrating dual character by joining hands with the parliamentary parties.
The Baidhya-led party also ruled out the possibility of unification with the mother party at present situation. RSS
