14 inmates transferred to home district prison

PYUTHAN, Nov 7: Fourteen inmates, who were languishing at the District Prison Office, Pyuthan, have been transferred to the District Prison Office, Dang.



They have been transferred after the prisoners stage a sit-in protest demanding transfer to the jail of their hometown. All of them hail from Dang district.



Of the 14, nine have been serving jail term for attacking Chief District Officer of Pyuthan Krishna Shyam Budhathoki and the remaining five on a rape charge.



Following the transfer, 43 inmates are serving jail term at the Pyuthan prison.
